This had really good reviews, so I purchased it for my sister, who is currently seriously considering converting from Protest to Catholic, and is living with decidedly anti-Cathlolic family. Conversations on the topic of Catholicism vs. Protestantism are ensuing (hopefully serious, open-minded, and actually seeking truth), and so I purchased this on here and sent it to her so she can equip herself to be able to give answers, or at least find them. Also, having grown up Baptist, there's a lot of basic Catholic jargon that neither she nor I understand. I'm hoping this will help her (and eventually me, when I purchase it for myself) in our continuing pursuit of understanding and truth. My sister is quite pleased with it, anyways.

This book is one of the better reference books I've encountered. No screwing around with extreme left or extreme right trying to make a point: Hardon simply defines each thing as it is. This is a first rate reference book and, in my mind, a must for any Catholic serious about growing in their understanding of The Church.
