It is a good exposition on Lutheran teaching on those things which affect our spirituality. Yet this book didn't seem though to make a good case on how those things affect our spirituality in a positive way. We need to be equipped to counteract the "I'm spiritual but not religious" claim by showing how using word and sacrament, suffering and prayer actually are the ways to a god-pleasing spirituality.

I wanted a guide on how to increase my faith within my Lutheran upbringings. This book is one to have on hand if you need guidence.
Memuro
Great primer for new Lutheran Christians and good refresher for long-time Lutherans. We are using it at my church in a weekly study called Pastor's Book Club.

We are using it in our Sunday School class and have only gone through a few chapters, but it is very enlightening. I would recommend it to anyone in the Lutheran religion and also anyone who would like to learn about our beliefs. Learning about God is for everyone.
