Andrew’s process brings us face to face with these creatures with startling clarity, and is beautifully handled in the sensitive printing of this book. Andrew Zuckerman, Photographer. The white background itself acts as a part of the visual experience, removing any context other than Andrew’s visual sensibilities. As a collector, I enjoy being on the front edge of the wave of the photographic world with Daguerreotypes; on the back end, my work has been focused on expanding and perfecting photography in the digital world, and I find that Andrew’s work helps me hone my own personal vision. My granddaughter wants to be a Veterianarian like her mother. And, any book that features animals, is one she wants in her collection.

My granddaughter particularly lines this book because of the photography, and the great care that was taken in putting this book together. There are two photos of each animal, the name in upper case and lower case. In this case you see different views of the same animal. Starting from 'A' and moving on, each animal is presented with a wonderful photo that will be sure to capture your child's imagination. The photography by Andrew Zuckerman is exquisite. Not only will your children or grandchildren enjoy this book, but parents/teachers, adults in general will enjoy the photos. Next to seeing the animals up close and personal, this is the best book to show animals as they are.

My daughter loves animals! I wanted some animal cards to make a little matching game for her with the animal figurines we have at home. These are very high quality flash cards ; they are made of very sturdy card stock and the images are flawless. I always opt for real, true to life images instead of the cartoonish ones - these did not disappoint! My daughter spends lots of time looking at these cards and I can tell she's learning... she's seeing a true, real, beautiful picture of an animal and will be able to make connections when she sees a live animal.

This was by far one of my favorite purchases I have made for my 17 month old daughter. She absolutely loves going through these cards. She knows almost every letter and sound of the alphabet. We go through these cards almost daily. If I lay all 26 cards out on the floor she will find the card I ask for. The pictures are phenomenal. I seriously wish I got these cards sooner but I’m so glad I bought them when I did. Also, when I ask her if she wants to go through her cards, she knows what I am talking about and gets super excited. Definitely definitely worth buying.

My two year old loves the photos in this book. I bought this used, and it arrived damaged, so I didn't mind giving it to her. A little packing tape did the trick. My only complaint is the letter "Q" the author used Quills, as in the quills of a Porcupine. There is Quetzal and Quail, so to me it's not really a good choice for an alphabet book. Overall the photos are fantastic and hold her attention.

I have the "Bird" book by Andrew Zuckerman, and I have always admired his work. I got this book for my nephew for Christmas, and it's beautiful. The book has an animal for each letter of the alphabet. This is a wonderful picture book (with real photos!) for children--the pictures are large and vibrant. I highly recommend Andrew Zuckerman's books to everyone.

Our 2-year-old toddler loves this book. She's not quite ready for reading yet, but she can recognize some letters, so this book is a good learning tool for the ABCs. The vivid photographs are very detailed and realistic. Like just about all kids, our daughter loves to look at animals, so this book really holds her interest. The large-format pages make for an imersive "reading" experience.

These flash cards are very well made and the images are ideal to delight and teach our younger children. Highly recommend.
Love this book so much I purchased for a friend. The pictures are amazing!
