The unusual felted illustration are what initially captured my attention. I purchased the book as a companion gift for my 5 year old niece to go with a handmade blanket she requested. I think she will love the sweet story about friendship and embracing our differences.

I love this book. Such a great message and a perfect gift for anyone with a young child. The illustration is great and the quality of the book perfect.

My son loves this book. It's pretty, and the story is heartwarming. Love it.

My kids have loved this book every since we got it. If it had been published in the US I'm sure it would have easily taken the Caldecott prize, the illustrations are just wonderful and unique.

This is a wonderful book for both kids and the adults in their lives. The illustrations are fabric and wool, which is what drew me to the book in the first place.
It's a great little story about how we are all different. And just because we look different and live in different places doesn't mean we are bad.
The pages are sturdy and colorful. The quality of the book should make it hold up for the next generation and beyond.

My three-year-old nephew adores these terrifically! (So does his grandmother!) He even took one to school for show-and-tell. Looking forward to a new title.

I loved this book's beautiful illustration, it is work of art! And has a nice message too that everyone is different and we should learn to like each others differences and love each other.
This book is appealing on many levels: The story itself is read-out-loudable; the message is a nice one and the artwork is adorable! Being a fiber artist myself, I love the fiber aspect of the characters.
