El Loro Tico Tango book.

El Loro Tico Tango book. For use in schools and libraries only  . The Parrot Tico Tango written by Anna Witte, is a fun and engaging children's book. In this story you are introduced to Tico Tango, a parrot who is never satisfied with what he has. He always wants what his animal friends has, so he snatches it. All their fruit soon becomes Tico Tango's. Love the spanish version I picked up in Costa Rico (El Loro Tico Tango). I'm not sure how the rhyme translates in English, but amazing in Spanish.

As of the writing of this post this book is out of print, but it is well-worth the effort of finding it! From time to time books go back into print or they can be found cheaply on the used market. My students have loved El Loro Tico Tango ! It is a great rhyming book about the tropical forest that introduces kids to different animals and fruits. It also has a moral lesson

My 2 year old loves this! This has been one of his first and only interactions with Spanish, but the images really help him to understand the story and pick up some Spanish, and the music is so catchy and fun. I would recommend reading it together a few times before introducing the song on the CD since you so have to turn the pages rather quickly. I can’t find the song in Spanish anywhere on YouTube so we copied it onto our computer to transfer onto my phone. This is a book and cd we’ll enjoy for a long time.

At 18 months old my daughter loved the validity and reinforcement she was getting from this book, as she was still learning to identify her colors and some of the animals. This is definitely one of her favorite picks before bedtime. My only wish for this book is that it were offered as a hard cover, but if it ever falls apart we will be ordering a new one... The Spanish in this book is great, and my daughter has nearly memorized the entire book. I highly recommend this to parents seeking a fun read in Spanish.

BEST BOOK EVER. This book is on repeat EVERY night since my girly got it for Kings Day. It is just beautiful, and fun to read. Top-shelf status for sure!

As other reviews have stated, this book has beautiful drawings, a fun rhythmic cadence, and a good moral story about sharing with others. The book also focuses on fruits and colors and I was impressed to notice that the text box corresponded to the color of the fruit on that page. Lots of great learning opportunties for children, and fun to read aloud!

El loro tico tango is colorful, and a fun book to read for my 4-year-old goddaughters, and it fills them full of giggles. The twins have been reared bilingually, so I'm not sure that it's appropriate for learners.

Excelente libro.

My (1.5 yr. old) son and I both love rhyming stories and this is one of our favorites. It does have some repetition, but it's not so much that he loses patience with it.
This book is fantastic!! Its a beautiful story with a moral. It rhymes beautifully and my toddler loves it. He also has learned to name fruits that we don't normally eat and see exotic animals.
