LINDA SMITH was "Mrs. Biddlebox" during her two-year battle with breast cancer. MARLA FRAZEE has illustrated many beloved picture books, including Everywhere Babies by Susan Meyers and Harriet, You'll Drive Me Wild! by Mem Fox, as well as her own Roller Coaster. She lives in Pasadena, California.

Marla Frazee makes Mrs. Biddlebox's frustration and anger manifest in the lines of her entire body and her crazy plume of curls. Frazee and Smith have concocted a work as light and as satisfying as the bad-day cake itself.

I was very blessed to have known Linda Smith before she passed away. Reading this book is always an overwhelming and emotional experience for me. Linda had a very rare gift and this book is her gift to the world. Written at a time when she herself was very, very ill and going through chemo, this book is literally about how she lived her life every day. She spread happiness and was loved by many, and amazingly, most of those who knew her had no idea she was so unwell. This book is more than just another picture book - it is a monument to a woman who lifted and inspired and taught us how to live. Love you, Linda, and miss you so very much.

I got this book since 2004 for our 1st child. We now read this book to our 3rd child and never got sick of reading it. The pictures are great. The words rhymes and flows. Love the last line when putting my kids to bed: "Mrs. Briddlebox rolled over, closed her eyes and went to sleep." My kids love this book. When my 1st and 2nd children were young they wanted to skidoo into the book like Blue on Blue's Clues.

I wish I had 5 more copies. I have a group of children that I buy books for. The books that I buy for them always have a positive message and this one definitely meets the requirements. What a perfect way to manage a hard day. I love it!!!

Item was delivered well within the time frame. Since it was purchased used I expected some wear. Book was in pretty good condition, I was not disappointed. An added plus was that it was a retired book from the NYC public library system and it was a gift for my sister, a retired librarian. It was perfect.

Such a FUN story! I gave it to my 7 year old grandchildren and they read and reread it with much delight.

So fun & easy to relate to when having a bad day.
I love this book. I love the cadence, and I love how creative Linda Smith was with making the intangible tangible and how Mrs Biddlebox used in her "recipe."
