Very informational book. Gail has such a great I am for sure going to find this book for my classroom. What a great book for the fall months! I love how she labels the types of pumpkins (kind of like the frog book) so you know each type. I never knew this before reading this book. In really like how she explains when they are planted and how the farmers grow them. Everything she said about pumpkins in the book is true and valid as she gives great history of the pumpkin and its growth, and so many aspects of it. The organization of this book is also amazing as Gail gives us a view of the pumpkin from seed to growth and all the transitions in between.

We used this book as a supplement to our homeschool study of pumpkins and the autumn season. I love Gail Gibbons books. She packs so much fact into a fun and beautifully illustrated book. If you've never read her books before you should check them out.
