"That small stump hurt my toe! That small stump has got to go!"But Papa Bear's troubles have just begun, because under the ground, that small stump has a great big root. Beginning readers will revel in Papa's travails as he sets about attempting to remove that stump . . . at any cost!

I love the original Berenstain Bears books and so do my kids. They are wonderfully illustrated and the rhyme and meter are second to none. I thought it was a scream the way Papa was trying to get that stump out, and how he took more out than just a stump.

Excerpt from The Berenstain Bears at Camp Crush. Chapter 1 - Bullhorn Baits His Hook. By Bear Country standards, Big Bear City was a metropolis. It had four motels and two big hotels-and that was just within the city limits. It had lots of office buildings, dozens of eating places, three newspapers, a big-time TV station, and a large population. It was the sort of place where strangers were hardly noticed.

I love the original Berenstain Bears books and so do my kids. They are wonderfully illustrated and the rhyme and meter are second to none. I was born and raised on these stories and I bought them for my children when they were born. "Inside, Outside, Upside Down" was the first book by daughter learned to read on her own. She is seven years old now and still loves them. These are timeless classics that you can pass on to your children and grandchildren. Buy them all now!

Bought this book to replace a library book that a baby chewed while we were camping. The book came in excellent condition. Very happy with the order.

I thought it was a scream the way Papa was trying to get that stump out, and how he took more out than just a stump. It was such a mess. If you're interested in seeing what's happening in this book, you should read it.

Papa Bear sees a small root sticking up from the ground. He decides it needs to be removed, but that "little stump" turns out to be very large. By the end of the book, Papa Bear has removed a mammoth stump, uprooting the whole neighborhood! A very funny book.
