But in the last half of July, only a couple of weeks after Adam Freeman and his friends got trapped in the Haunted Cave, the temperature rose sharply. At midday the thermometer burst past a hundred degrees

Aliens in the Sky book. This month I read a book called Aliens In The Sky by Christopher Pike. Things are getting pretty spooky in Spooksville. In this book Sally, Cindy, Adam, and Watch were wandering in the middle of the night to find mysterious lights flashing in the sky. All of them climb into the ship to get a better understanding of why the aliens came to earth. Vivienne To has illustrated several books, including The Underland Chronicles by Suzanne Collins and the Randi Rhodes, Ninja Detective series by Octavia Spencer. As a child, she had two pet mice escape.

Books by Christopher Pike: Road to Nowhere. 10. Spooksville 17: the Thing in the Closet. 9, 10. Black Knight. The Hidden Beast.

Another Spooksville book I recommened is "Night of the Vampire if you dare! . It normally takes me just a couple hours to read books I think are interesting but the spooksville books just take me about one hour to an hour and thirty minutes without being interupted, I reccommend this book to any of the young teens and pre-teens who like magical jorneys, aliens, witches, and many other weird things.

Aliens in the Sky. Book of Spooksville. When Adam and his friends stay up late one night, they see bright lights in the sky. Lights that look suspiciously like flying saucers. Price may vary by retailer. Then, the next night, one of the saucers lands by the reservoir, and the creatures who come out of the ship don’t look like people at all. Their heads are too large, and their eyes are too big and black. Worse, they want Adam and his friends to come with them for a little ride in space. In fact, the aliens insist that they come. They practically drag the kids into their ship.

I was very satisfied but the only issue that was a bit upsetting is that both books I ordered , the covers were bent. However, I was satisfied with the price and how quickly I received them

{My thoughts} – Adam, Watch, Cindy and Sally all get to go on an out of this world adventure. They are so hot that the make a trip up to where The Haunted Cave is located so that they can cool off. They spend some time there eating and playing poker. Meanwhile, some alien ships show up and land right where they parked their bikes. The four of them hide while they watch the ships and then Watch gets the idea to try and communicate with them. Once he does that everything gets a bit messy.

Watch and Adam get taken in the first ship and not long after they are followed in the second by Cindy and Sally. Why they end up on the ships to begin with is an interesting story. It is even more interesting when they get where they are going and things are pieced together. I think this was an interesting adventure for them to go on and I enjoyed the way in which it was all explained.

I really am enjoying reading these books. I am certain any child that is introduced to them will be able to enjoy them as well. They get to go on cool adventures that can sometimes be categorized as risky or dangerous. I think the adventures make for some good stories though and because of that I don’t think there will ever be a dull moment in Spooksville.

As i said before i enjoy the Spooksville series very much. Aliens in the Sky is a particularly good one. I think Mr. Pike has more to say rather than thrill the readers. More than a typical horror thriller, it shows what humanity will be like in a couple of thousand years. He makes environmentally aware which is also the case in "Attack of the Killer Crabs". Anyhow, at the rate we are going at, i think what Christopher Pike predicted is inevitable, let alone it being a perfect horror story. I half-expected finding an alien by my bedside when i turned over in bed.
