The Board Review Series (BRS) is aimed at providing basic knowledge as it relates to clinical situations and is used primarily by medical students studying for the United States Medical Licensing Examinations (USMLE). BRS Behavioral Science, Fifth Edition covers material on this subject that is addressed on USMLE Step 1, written in outline format to provide an efficient method of studying behavioral science for USMLE. The book includes at least 500 USMLE-style questions with accompanying annotated answers. An exam follows each chapter and a Comprehensive Exam is included at the end of the book.
A companion Website will offer the fully searchable text and an interactive question bank.
These questions definitely make it a BETTER OPTION than "High Yield Behavioral Science", which is also written by Dr. Fadem
These questions definitely make it a BETTER OPTION than "High Yield Behavioral Science", which is also written by Dr. Fadem. I spent some time deciding between the two (and I even own them both), and this book is far superior in terms of helping you learn how to think and answer USMLE questions properly.
by Barbara Fadem PhD (Author). I bought the boook used, but it arrive NEW! no writings or dents, better than description. And with complimentary material. If you are solid in behavioral, and the first aid is not all that you need, give it the chance to this book. Otherwise, keep with your first aid only. But i recomend it even if you are strong on topic, more info doesn hurt.

by Barbara Fadem PhD (Author). ISBN-13: 978-1496310477. It even covers a few topics that you may have learned elsewhere, and can feel free to skip (. information about neurotransmitters or psychopharmacology). However, THE BEST part about this book is that it has questions at the end of every chapter (true to the BRS format).

This is really the book of all behavioral science books. The questions inside are kind of on the lame side, as are most BRS series questions since they don't really look like the USMLE format.
