Do not waste your money on other online wound care study guides, I bought three of them including Wound Care Certification Study Guide by Jayesh . Shah MD (not helpful, too simple), CWCN Exam Practice Questions and WCC exam Secrets study guide by Mometrix ( not helpful if you are taking certification via WOCNCB).

Talk about Acute Chronic Wounds: Current Management Concepts, 3rd Edition

Mamuro
This book so thoroughly explained the principles and techniques for managing acute and chronic wounds. I like the self-assessment exercise after each chapter, because it helps me remember what I have just read and I can always go back review my weak parts. After I have had read this book, I have more confidence to take the exam for the certification of wound nurse.

I work in chronic wound care and find myself lugging a pack full of books that I may need. I found this book an up to date, nicely condensed book that takes the place of a larger one I was using. I recommend it for those of you that work with chronic wounds and at times need a reference at your hands.
Flocton
This book is very thorough, with descriptions of all kinds of wounds and some solutions for healing. I focused on foot care as well as arterial and venous insufficiency.
Kabei
Excellant book for foot care certification test for RNs. Would recommend and found it very helpful on exam and in practice
Hra
This is the best wound care resource I have. From basic care to physiology of wounds, this book covers everything in an easy to understand but comprehensive manner. I especially like the chapter on the interdisciplinary process.

UPDATE: I'm getting another copy of this because my coworkers are constantly borrowing it as they prepare for certification exams. If you only want to buy one wound resource, this is the one. DM

This is the third edition of this book, and continues to be a "must have" for anyone involved in wound care. It has been updated with the most current information on basics as well as newer treatment modalities.
