Kinetic and electrodynamic phenomena in classical and quantum semiconductor superlattices. A theoretical investigation has been made of surface magnetoplasmon modes in truncated semiconductor superlattices. The thicknesses of the superlattice layers are assumed sufficiently large that quantum-well effects can be neglected. The materials are characterized by their macroscopic dielectric tensors, and a local theory with retardation is employed. The external magnetic field is taken to be parallel to the surface and perpendicular to the direction of propagation of the polariton.
