by Edward W. Kamen (Author), Bonnie S Heck (Author). As a first time learner of Signals and Systems, this is a very poor book. Examples can be confusing, and the web portion of the book is dated.

In terms of the technical content of the book it pretty much parallels most other text books that deal with the mathematics of communications signals and systems. The one attribute that sets this book apart from all the others is the ease of reading. Kamen's book contains all the mathematics and technical concepts that other communications texts contain but the author presents this information is such a manner that it is more readily absorbed.

Lecture 01: Introduction and Importance of Signals and Systems; Discussion on Learning Objectives G R Sinha. 7. Control: Mobile Robotics, Automation, Automatic Washing Machine. Our analysis is based on well established railway signalling concepts such as train routes and flank protection and attempts to verify safety properties which state that if the railyard is configured in a correct way, no unwanted situations such as train collisions or derailings will occur. We specify the railyards in process algebra and the safety properties in the modal ¯-calculus.
