Reading this demonstrated that Perroud was not the writer that the Grills were. Yet it was interesting to read these stories in their original form.

I thought I knew the fairy tales of Mother Goose, but I was wrong. This book was a fantastic collection and it was fun to see how the stories were originally told. A fine example of story telling.

I downloaded this looking for stories/poems such as Hey Diddle Diddle, or Little Miss Muffet and instead got Cinderella and such. These are stories commonly associated with the Brother's Grimm. And although the title lists and illustrator and the forward of the book even lists what illustrations are included, there are none in the kindle version.
