According to the 4 books I've read from John Saul so far, fathers are either useless and oblivious pushovers or violent and abusive bastards. Lucky for us there are two of them in this book!. Seriously though, I think I've alreay figured out what's been bothering me about his books: all of the children are like emotionless robots programmed to follow a path they can't divert from, adults in their lives are like the townsfolks from the Simpsons that can immediately turn into a lynch mob According to the 4 books I've read from. She has just lost her mother in a terrible accident. Another Good John Saul Book. Published by Thriftbooks. com User, 16 years ago. For some reason, I always get this book mixed up with "Second Child," probably because of the similar plot lines-a young woman is orphaned and then taken in by her distant family in New England.

John Saul’s first novel, Suffer the Children, was an immediate million-copy bestseller. His other bestselling suspense novels include Perfect Nightmare, Black Creek Crossing, and The Presence. Saul divides his time between Seattle and Hawaii. Библиографические данные. The Unwanted: A Novel.

A fun but fairly forgettable read - good for passing time, but nothing particularly memorable about this book. I enjoyed this book and found myself keen to turn the pages. I saw some of the big twists coming, but there were still a few smaller surprises to keep me interested.

John Saul is one of the best story tellers ever, and this book is no exception. Brilliant!

One of Mr Saul's best. It was a hard book to put down, always wanting to know what was going to happen next.

This book is definitely not scary. I was expecting so much more thrills from John Saul, but was sadly disappointed. He left too many unanswered questions and the ending just ended. It was like the story just stopped. This is the third John Saul book I read hoping for a good fright. I think John Saul's books are more for teenagers.
Pretty good book
