I found myself becoming angry at Kitty for what she had kept from Lucy and Ruby. I loved how the ending pulled together, it was absolutely beautiful. I cried tears of joy. Like the roses in Lucy's family's gardens forgiveness and reconciliation finally burst open, bringing healing and strength. In the end you breathe in the fragrance of love, like the roses in bloom.

Others have written very good, clear reviews of what the story is. I just want to add that the complex issues and the feelings they evoked in me were many times simply overwhelming. In a good way. The long awaited end scenes were so well done, reducing me to sobs, both happy and sad. Needed several tissues. Much to power afterward, too.

Intensely personal, Lucy unraveling her life. I had a fear that Kitty would die before the full story could be revealed, I'm very glad the full story included Kitty's story also.

What a wonderful story. It reminds us all of past mistakes, and how God is always there to forgive and make our lives better. This was a story of true love, but the loss of faith to not keep secrets that can affect so many people. Most of the time the truth will prevail.
