The author does use quite a lot of poetic license to create her version of Rebecca and the other characters.

The author does use quite a lot of poetic license to create her version of Rebecca and the other characters. I really love this novel, though. It’s not quite as atmospheric or mysterious as the original, but it was still a very enjoyable read.

I cried out Rebecca’s name in my sleep, so loudly that it woke me. I sat bolt upright, staring at darkness, afraid to reach for the light switch in case that little hand again grasped mine.

The children who were brought to hear The awful tale from far and near Were much impressed, and inly swore They never more would slam the door, - As often they had done before. To make her Uncle Jacob start. Watch the Video for this Poem. From the Book Cautionary Tales for Children.

Alex Webb and Rebecca No. .has been added to your Cart. Instead Webb and Norris Webb ruminate and pontificate, at times in "poetic" terms, in a way that might be interesting to hardcore fans but does not deliver on the book's promise of being a "workshop" in print. I really admire their work, so I was really let down here. No one expects Garry Kasparov to describe how the chess pieces move.
