I wouldn’t be a fourteen-year-old girl again for all the world. Cory just broke my heart.

I wouldn’t be a fourteen-year-old girl again for all the world. EMOTIONS BOILING, Jase headed straight to the squad room, where he started making calls on a few open cases. y the hell did you kiss her? The question kept popping up in the back of his mind whenever he was put on hold and later as he studied the surveillance videos from the series of jewelry-store robberies.

Hello! She eyed the fluid movement of Ava’s body. Aren’t you the one who dances good enough to star on an MTV video? Dimples punched deep in Ava’s cheeks as she smiled in delight. But almost immediately she made a scoffing sound. Like they’d ever put my fat ass on one of those vids. Those are for skinny girls like you and Jane. Well, lose the candy bar and pick up a paintbrush-maybe you’ll burn a few calories. Poppy, Jane remonstrated.

Anderson (Cutting Loose) creates a sexy, feel-good contemporary romance starring down-to-earth Seattle artist Poppy Calloway and handsome but rigid police detective Jason de Sanges.

by Susan Andersen (Author). This is the 2nd in a series of 3 by Andersen about 3 childhood friends who inherit the mansion of an elderly woman they befriended as children and it's just the worst. Not just of the series, but possibly of all the romance novels I've read recently. I like the main character Poppy but apparently even Andersen was bored by the main relationship, because a lot of time spent on a side plot which is turns into the more interesting relationship between two teenage taggers.

The cop himself is rigid to the point of unbelievability and the plot is all over the place, and the relationship between Poppy and her two friends, that is so charming in the other two, seems totally lost in this one.

I enjoyed this book thoroughly. It would speak for itself, since I work a professional job full time, married and have a full social life, and I was still able to finish this one in about a week. I'm a fast reader but this one was hard to put down. Characters were well built and relate-able and the romantic relationship completely live-able. Intimacy was H-O-T and fun. Overall - great read for adults +.

I couldn't put it down. Nothing got accomplished because I was too busy reading. I like the 3 books about Jane, Poppy, and Ava.

Very good series.

One of 3 young women and their story. I have enjoyed reading this series. Perhaps they were numbered, but it doesn't take away from the story. MS Andersen should write a prequel recounting the history of Wollcott mansion.

This story was my favorite in this trilogy. I love how the romance grows between Poppy and the cop. The moving in part was a little bit of a stretch, but overall good.

Great Read.
This book was part of a trilogy. Something I usually avoid.

However, the plot was good, the dialog was also good.
I will continue to purchase books by this author.
