This is a great little reference book for those who just want something handy to browse for familiarity. If you're looking for blueprints or specs on every last variation of a particular vehicle, this won't make you happy. But if all you want is to be able to see what a Panther V looks like, or an M42 Duster, this book is the ticket.

that description fits my son, for whom I bought this as a replacement for an earlier copy that got ruined by a water leek. each page is devoted to a different vehicle, and is a great reference for those who knows about the things. color photos and description are clear and informative.

Great reference book with illustrations. Also have one for firearms and WW2 aircraft and love them all. Have my next book on order for battleships and can not wait to receive it!

My son loves it. He draws tanks and builds lego tanks according to the pictures in the book.

Terrible as a reference. On U.S. tanks alone lots of omissions and errors. Lists M1 Abrams as best tank in world (not that it is not) but never mentions upgunning or additional armor just initial version with 105 mm main gun. Gives data for M48, but has illustration of M47. Drawings are good, but even when a bow MG is plainly visible on drawing (correct)doesn't have info on bow MG.
