Now available in flexi cover, a broad cross section of interiors from one of the world's most fashionable cities.

I own this book, Morroccan Interiors, Provance Interiors and Seaside Interiors. I will eventually own the whole lot of them.

I own this book, Morroccan Interiors, Provance Interiors and Seaside Interiors. Why- the books are a marvelous look into the interiors of people who are most rarely interior designers.

Talk about Paris Interiors/Interieurs Parisiens (Midsize)

(This is the same review I gave New Paris Interiors; I got both books and it applies equally to both, though all the homes and homeowners are different.)

I'm going to love poring over this book over and over again. It's impossible to look through it all at once, anyway, it's so big and the visual onslaught is overwhelming. Being a middle-class, Great Plains middle-aged person, I will never see these apartments and rooms myself, but it's fun to see how world-class artists, musicians, actors, directors, designers and financiers like to decorate their homes. Some of them, I swear, are compulsive collectors - stuff *everywhere*! Most are beautiful rooms, lending lots of ideas or at least daydreams for one's own home.

The photographs are lovely, often pieces of art in themselves. My only complaint is how huge the book is; it's not a lap-book, that's for sure. It is definitely worth the money, in my opinion.
Got this one for a penny or 40 cents so that alone made it wonderful. It is a lovely book with nice examples. Taschen books are usually a treat and so is this one
So inspiring thank you for the great price I've wanted this book for a long time but too pricey to spend on before. I have the ICON version of this really wanted to see the full book
This book is for dreamers and for people who want practical ideas. I have gone to Paris a number of times and have always wanted to look in the tall apartments with the gracious windows. But usually we stay on the left bank at a smallish hotel with minimal frills. Still it is Paris and really, what's not to love? I think the ideas to be gleaned from this book are endless. Even if one cannot afford the stunning antiques or art it really does inspire and as an aspiring, jewelry designer I have found this book invaluable.
Modern pieces and antiques mingle in small and vast spaces with out of the ordinary tricks to make small spaces seem bigger and to liven up an otherwise boring area or to make huge spaces inviting. Simply a great table book to relax with and travel within one's head!
Although the cover photo is lovely, very few pictures within the book match it's beauty, except for page 203, and maybe one or two others, at most. I expected to see beautiful, serene interior surroundings, true Paris style decor. Instead, the book showed many, many pictures of rooms enveloped in this weird orangey/red cast; most spaces filled to the brim with ugly or laughable accessories. To me, Paris interiors should be lovely to the eye, perhaps boasting good ornate vintage pieces draped in fringed silk. The hues must not be garish, but romantic and calming to the eye. Very lush, comfortable and non-cluttered.

I did enjoy some of the exterior photos accompanied by interesting text. And the Eiffel Tower seen through the apartment window was just amazing.

Overall, however, I do not think Paris Interiors offered the kind of Paris decor that I expected.
Funny duck
I just got this book in today and I haven't been able to stop looking at the photos! The book shows the homes of models, artists and fashion designers so there are quite a number of interior design styles represented. It's wonderful getting a glimpse into the apartments, mansions (and even a barge) of those who live in Paris.
Very nice, detailed illustrational history and present of Paris through its interiors. A buy worth its money.
