Truly Tasteless Jokes is a book of off-color humor by Ashton Applewhite, first published in 1982 under the pen name "Blanche Knott. The book was a cultural phenomenon and spawned dozens of sequels, including best-sellers Truly Tasteless Jokes Two (1983) and Truly Tasteless Jokes Three (1984), and a stand-up comedy special. Applewhite moved to New York City in 1977 to work for St. Martin's Press, where she learned numerous offensive jokes, which her boss encouraged her to write down. It's all in here, disgusting, repulsive, cruel, and just plain tasteless jokes and stories that will make you smile, laugh, or groan-and love every minute of it.

Truly Tasteless Jokes Two. One book wasn't enough. Demand was too great. The truly tasteless among us insisted on more outrageous insults, crude wit, and disgusting observations

Truly Tasteless Jokes Two. The truly tasteless among us insisted on more outrageous insults, crude wit, and disgusting observations. Once again, no group is spared and nothing is too sacred to be ridiculed.

Talk about Truly Tasteless Jokes VII

Classic book from grade school....that I wasn't supposed to read but people would bring their parents copies to school and there were plenty in the bookstores. Some jokes show their age (and some references might require a quick look up on wikipedia),but it is still still funny as @#$%!
If you still appreciate the jokes of Andrew Dice Clay, go for it. On the other hand, if you're a senior citizen like me and start telling these jokes in public (I did this in a bar near where the movie Gone Girl was shot) you are at great peril for being pummeled for political incorrectness to the point that you may be rendered an invalid.
Just like I remember them
furious ox
The title says it all.

I remembered this book from the '80s, and bought it for nostalgic reasons.

However, if you know anyone who is easily offended, do not leave this one laying around your house!
Given as a gift to a frend I remember reading the book when it first came out. Bought to cheer up a frend.
Every joke in here cracks me up... It's not for the easily offended- I'll warn you that much. A good sense of humor is needed.

The book is very small in size, so you can easily carry it around for those moments where you have a few minutes to read.
Hawk Flying
love these kind of jokes
they would be found only in hustler and here
This is a small condensed version of the original. Very misleading. No where in the description did it say that there was less than half the content of the original.
