Revered businessman Falco Orsini has left life in the Special Forces behind - though he uses his powerful skills occasionally, when duty calls. But duty is always on Falco's terms! When his estranged father asks him to protect a young model who is being stalked, he begrudgingly agrees...only because of the vulnerability he can see in her eyes. Elle Bissette won't be a victim - she can take care of herself! And surely big, dark, devilish Falco is dangerous? Because one kiss from him will leave her breathless...

Sandra Marton at her best!!! Falco was a very complexed character that added the necessary "twist" in the story.

Sandra Marton, a best-selling American author, wrote her first novel when she was seven. It was a romance, which probably says a lot about fate and the mysterious paths that sometimes lead us through life Sandra married the boy she’d met at 15 1⁄2, began teaching, became a mom, stopped teaching, took in every stray cat and dog she found and eventually ran for public office and won, but she never forgot she had once dreamed of being a writer. In what little spare time she had, she wrote poems and short stories.

I tried but I could not get more than halfway through this book. I selected this book partially because I wanted to read a book with an Italian hero in it. Despite the hero being referred to as Italian, his language and mannerisms came across as those of a crude all American man. He constantly addresses the hero as "babe" and "baby" and not in an affectionate way. Having spent time in Italy, I can confirm that no man addresses women as "babe" and "baby" . The author tells much of the story from the hero's point of view and he comes across as being physically attracted to the heroine, but that's it. The heroine was tough to relate to also. Usually when you read a Harlequin, you can get inside the heroine's head and understand her feelings and motives. Halfway through the book, I had zero sense of what made this heroine tick.

Sandra Marton has done it again. This is the third book about the Orsini brothers who are being emotionally coerced by their father, a Mafia boss of whom they are deeply ashamed and against whom they have rebelled since they were youngsters, to carry out an unusual errant for him. Falco is to fly to California to protect Elle, a model and movie star from a creepy stalker who is terrorizing her. Because of her unhappy past Elle will not let any male get close even though Falco would be eminently qualified due to his background in the Special Forces. The inevitable happens, instant clashes between a strong woman who has learned the hard way how to fend for herself and an Alpha Male who is used to take charge of things. I won't give away more than that but, as in all of Sandra Marton's books, the emotional interplay between the two protagonists, as well as the very well written and tasteful sexual scenes, with everything eventually leading to a happy ending, leave the reader well satisfied.

I stopped reading halfway through this book, it made me want to scream in frustration. The plot line is different but the characters are basically the same as in the first book of the series.

The heroes in both books are controlling jerks who literally push the heroines around and manhandle them. Both the heroes suffer from severe mood swings, one minutes they're happy to be with the heroines and the next are storming off. In no way does it seems like they are falling in love, they meet, fall in to bed together and next day proclaim they love each other.

There is no reason for the hero to constantly be calling the heroine 'baby', especially after she asks him not to. Maybe he's bedded so many women it's just easier to call them that than to remember their names.

I bought this book because I am a big fan of Sandra Marton. I had already read Rafe and Dante's stories so I wanted to know about Falco. Falco and Elle had chemistry from the get go and they never let up. Sandra knows what draws a reader and it is continuos throughout. This book was thoroughly entertaining. I was not disappointed. I am going to read Nicolo's story next.

Another Marton winner. I loved this one as much as I l loved Rafe and Dante's stories. Falco and Elle work. They have so many similarities. They love completely. They commit fully. Who wouldn't love these characters?
The third book much better than the last one. I loved the humor, the constant bickering, the story line made sense. Was a great book as WE follow the series. Can't wait to Nicks story
