Book by Darcy, Emma

Pattern of Deceit book. I can't say enough about how much I loved Emma Darcy's heroine in Pattern of Deceit

Pattern of Deceit book. I can't say enough about how much I loved Emma Darcy's heroine in Pattern of Deceit. She was smart, strong, sarcastic, feisty but also vulnerable and very human. A very layered, very entertaining character to inhabit the mind of for the duration of this wonderful, quirky, humorous, and also at times very poignant office romance.

THIS IS A VERY FUNNY BOOK~ ANGIE is disgusted with handsome Matt Fielding who is as smart and masculine as a man can be~ but HE knows it~ Angie dresses up with Glasses, dowdy, dress and innocent attitude~ when he sends her to go buy him UNDERWEAR SHE buys him ones with HAND PRINTS ON THEM~ WHEN he sends her for a TUX shirt~ the Four TOPS SHIRT~has less lace and frills on theirs~ I laughed out loud as Angie gets even at Matt and yet shows him how smart she really is~ the BATTLE of the Sexes here is hot AND funny~

Angie is really Angela Carmody a singer and has her own demons in a Mother who died a tragic death and Angie wants to keep her private life private~ but soon~ Cinderella is about to come out of her shell and the Begins when Matthew Fielding can barely keep his eyes and hands off the newer sexier Angie~

I GIVE THIS A 5 OUT OF 5 FOR ROMANCE, A HEROINE WE ADORE AND IS BRIGHT AND FUNNY AND A HERO WHO GIVE AS GOOD AS HE GETS~ GREAT PLOT AND ONE OF DARCY'S BEST EARLY ROMANCES~ EXCELLENT~

Goodness, that dress shirt was priceless! The heroine was one of those rare breeds: a feisty lady...for real (not one who claims having a backbone only to crumble under a mere gaze). Wished the drawings of the hero would be more masculine but the book was thoroughly enjoyable.
