This book looks back on past initiatives and campaigns, covering all the highlights and the most beautiful images. With texts by Alain de Botton and Ninette Murk, the founder of DAA. Included also is a poster of Tokio Hotel.

Alain de Botton examines our ideas of success and failure - and questions the assumptions underlying these two judgments. Is success always earned? Is failure?

Alain de Botton examines our ideas of success and failure - and questions the assumptions underlying these two judgments. Is success always earned? Is failure? He makes an eloquent, witty case to move beyond snobbery to find true pleasure in our work.

Talk about Designers Against Aids - The First Decade

As soon as I got my hands on this book, I just couldn't take my eyes off of its gorgeous pictures. If I had to tell what it is about...well, it's a book about beauty, and I was really surprised to see how you can deal with such a scary theme (who's not scared about HIV?), showing the positive sides of life, respect, beautiful things. The fear is always there, of course, but from now on these powerful images will change a bit my idea of things. To remind myself that bad things can change, if I want it.

This is a strange book.

It features lots of famous artists, designers, musicians and other pop icons (including unseen stuff ranging from Marilyn Monroe to Tokyo Hotel. Yet it still manages to "keep it real" up to a certain point, rather than bask in its own superiority - even though the latter is a staple of fundraising books such as this one.

It contains lots of nice pictures, fashion and art work, a well-written text and lots of celebs. What more do you want?

And even better: the price tag isn't even remotely ridiculous (again, as opposed to most fundraising books).

Finally, part of the profits (why is it always "part of the profits" by the way?) of the DAA book will go to a very good cause, so I would have been very generous with my comments anyway - but now it turns out that I don't have to.

Well done.

This book will be very comfy under any fashionable Christmas tree (and then some).

This book is really a wonderful one, with beautiful pictures of known photographers, painters and also from unkown ones, but really thrilling. When you read it, you want to read it again and again, you can't stop. I love it!!!
