Regan Reilly, an amateur sleuth, is hired as a bodyguard to Irish country singer Brigid O’Neill. Brigid has just received a fiddle, which is supposedly cursed. She will play it during a Fourth of July concert in the Hamptons. As Brigid prepares for stardom, Regan realizes that someone is out to stop Brigid and steal the fiddle. Is the fiddle really cursed? Can Regan stop someone who is out to get the fiddle and end Brigid’s life?
This was a good cozy mystery to read on a rainy day. I love the author’s talent of using red herrings to misdirect the reader into believing that one thing is going to happen, and then surprising them with a different scenario in the end. The main character is smart and sassy. The one drawback was that I found several editing mistakes throughout the book.

I have read Carol Higgins Clark (and her mother Mary Higgins Clark) for a long time. My problem, I started reading them out of sequence. Now am trying to do it in order. Enjoy their writings very much. Carol writes just like her mother.

I would recommend this book to mystery readers whom enjoy twists and turns. I enjoyed the plot development and how all the characters blended into an enjoyable read.

Some scenes were a bit hokey. I thought there were too many characters to sort thru, but the story line was good. I didn't suspect the criminal till close to the end.

What a wonderful story. Especially when some of the story takes place in Ireland. Great story about fork lore and family.

As always Twanged was very enjoyable.
