From page one the ride never slows. This book has it all, realistic characters, multiple murders, a plausible plot line, romance, and a wonderful setting. Your jaw will drop when you find out what's behind the killings, and then you will find yourself wondering, "Is this what's behind the weird goings on down the street?" A page turner.

It's deceptive. You settle in and read a very good story, and its pace seems slow and steady, but interesting...until the end. I HAD to finish the story when the multiple strands began to come together, and I lost a half night's sleep. Most of all, what a clever way to murder people!! Loved this! And the recipes are a bonus.
Moronydit
Good old fashioned slow climb to a story line climax. Stayed with it to the end!

It is extremely RARE that you find a murder story this WELL DONE. Ms. Board certainly knows her MEDIUM WELL. STEAK, er, stake a great reading experience on it!
Zut
Very well written.

I liked the way this built from a comfortable sort of "cozy" into a high stakes, almost creepy murder mystery. It also presented a colorful imaginative picture of the rich and famous in Florida. The ending especially was great -- it kept me awake until 3 a.m. the night I wrapped it up.

Remarkable attention to detail across an accumulation of suspects. It keeps you wondering as well as wandering through a labyrinth of dire, but plausible situations. Charming well defined characters culminating in "Who done it? and Why?" on a south Florida Island. The Author's obviously broad background across a cadre of relevancy makes the reader a part of the setting. A big fast moving story line in a comfortable number of pages. Good reading.
Makes one want to relax on a small Key in southwest Florida. But not Rattlesnake Key!
