This is a list of fictional and non-fictional novels either from or inspired by Murder, She Wrote. During the series many novels that . Fletcher wrote, were mentioned. Her first novel, The Corpse Danced at Midnight, was made into a film in one episode, and later in the series another was made into a theatre play. The novel A Killing at Hastings Rock also underwent development to become a virtual reality video game.

Destination Murder is a comfortably interesting book in the "Murder She Wrote" book series. The book series stays true to the characters and style of the TV show, and holds my interest as much as the very popular show did. Donald Bain, the author, described Vancouver, British Columbia and the surrounding area so well that I could actually picture it quite vividly. I felt as though I was right there as things were happening.

Jessica Fletcher (born Jessica Beatrice MacGill known as . Fletcher when writing) is a famous Murder-Mystery Novelist, who often found herself an unwilling participant in homicide investigations. Her detective skill eventually became well known to the point where she would be called in to consult on cases from the Cabot Cove Sheriff's Department, Scotland Yard, the FBI, and MI6.

Fletcher, if you don’t mind, Detective Marshall said, his voice muffled behind the hand he’d drawn across his mouth. No one will hear it from me. But I’m sure you know that a secret like this won’t remain a secret very long. Why don’t we move to the back of the car where we can speak more freely?.

Talk about Murder,She Wrote: Destination--Murder

Once again this is an outstanding book. Jessica give you numerous suspects to choose from of who done it. Not till the end of the book do you find who the real killer is and its always the one you Don't suspect.
It was not a page turning story, but it was not a bad read either. The fact that Jessica is an author of murder mysteries, is a little far fetched that the police depend on her to solve their murder and go to her for advice and suggestions. It was hard for me to understand why she poked her nose into it in the first place. She was a complete stranger to all these people to begin with, except for her friend who had invited her along on the train adventure. It was just an okay read!
This is my 3rd entry into the jessica fletcher books and I enjoyed it tremendously. I have always wanted to take a train trip and this book showed me how much fun it can be, of course if no one is murdered on it. This book had lots of info about trains, which I could have done without, but I liked the way jessica was put into danger, and of course she rallyed. Even though the regular Cabot Cove gang was not with her, it still was an enjoyable read. I couldn't figure out the killer and I enjoyed that. It is nice to be surprised. I think it is one of the better books of the collection.
I bought this for my Kindle for a quick vacation and forgot that I had already read it in paperback, but it had been long enough that I didn't remember the the "who done it" until the end. As always, the Murder She Wrote series is a fun, light hearted read with some nuggets of info along the way. This train trip through Vancouver was enjoyable and the mystery was sustaining.
This is the first Murder, She Wrote book that I've read although I've followed the TV series for many years. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this murder mystery and just started reading Murder on the QE2. I will be reading more books in this series.

This was purchased as a gift for a friend and she absolutely loved it! She devoured it in a day and was left wanting more.
You don't necessarily have to be a fan of the TV show to enjoy these books.
Very good storyline.
Fun read, as always! Very entertaining. Such great books I normally read within a couple days! If you love murder mysteries and/or Jessica Fletcher than you'll love this book series.
