Julie Kramer is a TV writer, producer, investigator as is her protagonist Riley Spartz. A retired police detective Lou Garnett brings her a couple of police files about unsolved murders of young women named Susan. Along the way to solving the crimes, and nearly getting herself killed in the process, she is f I was reading the Monkeewrench mysteries and was between availability, so my librarian recommended Stalking Susan, because it was a good mystery and written by an author with Minnesota ties.

I read the other two books by Julie Kramer (Missing Mark, Stalking Susan) so I'd already made the acquaintance of Riley Spartz, her TV investigative reporter. Riley is audacious, outrageous, and an unstoppable Force-of-Nature when she's seeking out a story. Along the way, the Reader can have a grand ride.

This is Julie Kramer's first book. It is a relatively fast-paced murder mystery centering on Riley Spartz, a television journalist. One of Riley's police contacts turns her on to a cold case involving a potential serial killer stalking women named Susan. She begins her investigation and uncovers facts about the killer that the police had missed. The plot is well developed and the story takes some unexpected twists. The "back room" view of TV journalism is interesting and Riley is a likeable, believable character. I enjoyed this book and will read more books by this author.

Suspense and humor. Good character building from previous books. They monkey wrench group continue to develop as characters. Enjoyed the first few more, but this was a good read

I loved the author's voice - warm and humorous while the case itself was engaging. Just the right amount of tension.

Even though I was able to figure out "who done it" before the end, it was a good suspense/mystery story. I have ordered another in the series, but have yet to read it. This one was good enough for me to want to read more.

Sinredeemer

This was a fun book. It wasn't deeply as intense, as I had expected from a thriller. No Dean Koonz or James Patterson, Clive Cussler or Ken Follett, nor Vince Flynn, or Robert B. Parker. I love them all. Perhaps this is why this debut novel was different. With a woman author, it had a more poignant impact as to how she dealt with what life handed her.

It had two plot lines working- the creepy vet and the creepy serial murderer.
Much insight into the T.V. news ratings and back story was added.

I love Julie's books. Well thought out plot, great dialogue, interesting exposure to the TV newscaster world. Great reading from beginning to end!

this book is very good, excellent story, good characters, it really holds your interest, there is never a dull moment. My husband and I both read it and enjoyed it.
