Another fascinating novel by Judith Lennox. Loved the damaged characters with all their flaws and mistakes. The novel includes romance, adultery, blackmail, acting, war, heroines, friends, betrayal, and much much more.

Compelling storytelling. a novel of passion and betrayal set aginast the Second World War' (Woman & Home). It has been a long time since I have been so captivated by a book. I thoroughly enjoyed The Heart of the Night and look forward to reading more from Judith Lennox. Lennox's prose is detailed but never overly dense and powerful when describing prosaic scenes. This is a beautiful tale of war through a new vantage point (Sunday Express). Judith Lennox writes powerful family dramas which will appeal to fans of Kate Morton and Elizabeth Winthrop. The two girls become firm friends, and when Miranda falls in love with a young Parisian, Kay helps her keep the relationship secret. But Konstantin learns of the affair and promptly dismisses Kay, leaving her penniless and stranded in Nazi Berlin.
