Small, easy to keep in your guitar case. Easy to read. Basic information touched on ... you will be better after reading and applying the instructions.

As described. I am happy with this product

It covers the basics of slide guitar. Doesn't go into a lot of detail. Considering the price and the number of pages, it is a nice start.

I found the book a nice reference for a beginning slide player such as myself. Not much detail where scales are concerned, but enough to get you started. Has a few alternate (open) tunings as well, and good tips on proper technique. And small enough to keep in the guitar case!

Let's be clear: Without contents and references notes, there's under 30 pages here. I found a dozen useful pages.
It may be "Beginning Slide Guitar," but it assumes considerable experince with more general playing, and the setup, tuning and some of the techniques actually are for the more advanced.
Hanson insists the slide be worn on the little finger, largely on the recommendation of Leo Kottke, That may be fine it you have the dexterity of Leo Kottke, not so much for mortals.
More troubling, the first four guitarists referenced are white, along with most of the others throughout the text, with quaintness emphasized in reference to some of the techniques of the blues masters.
