Structuring Drama Work is a practical handbook for drama teachers and youth theater workers
Structuring Drama Work is a practical handbook for drama teachers and youth theater workers. It offers a whole range of theatrical "conventions" to help initiate, focus and develop dramatic activity-whether in a workshop situation or as part of an active exploration of texts. Each convention focuses on the ability of form to open up varied and imaginative approaches to dramatic activity, and to provide fresh opportunities for drama across the curriculum.
I had the privilege of taking a class with Tony Goode several years ago and it was one of the most positive and memorable learning experiences I have had. I applied the tools I learned in his class to my own teaching with very positive results. Years later and a bit foggy on the steps and activities I found this book in my library. It is well organized, easy to understand and can be applied in a classroom setting quite easily. One person found this helpful.
