This workbook accompanies the thoroughly revised edition of Integrated Korean: Beginning 1, the first volume of the best-selling series developed collaboratively by leading classroom teachers and linguists of Korean. All series’ volumes have been developed in accordance with performance-based principles and methodology―contextualization, learner-centeredness, use of authentic materials, usage-orientedness, balance between skill getting and skill using, and integration of speaking, listening, reading, writing, and culture. Grammar points are systematically introduced in simple but adequate explanations and abundant examples and exercises.

Each situation/topic-based lesson of the main texts consists of model dialogues, narration, new words and expressions, vocabulary notes, culture, grammar, usage, and English translation of dialogues. In response to comments from hundreds of students and instructors of the first edition, this new edition features a more attractive two-color design with all new photos and drawings and an additional lesson and vocabulary exercises. Lessons are now organized into two main sections, each containing a conversational text (with its own vocabulary list) and a reading passage. The accompanying workbook, newly written, provides students with extensive skill-using activities based on the skills learned in the main text.

Talk about Integrated Korean Workbook: Beginning 1, 2nd Edition (Klear Textbooks in Korean Language)

This doesn't come with an answer key, so you have to buy it separately for $10 on the website. That sucks a lot. However, I think it's pretty useful and a good addition to the book (which also doesn't have an answer key). I'm guessing these are for students, because there're some problems where I've run into, where it says "listen to your professor..." to complete certain exercises - but I'm a self-learner, so no professor AKA no access to whatever that stuff is. I can make do with it, but it's not great for beginners, I think.

Required textbook for BYU online class. Poorly organized way to teach a foreign language (especially considering I was already mildly fluent). Did not understand the purpose of progression of some ideas, and it also assumes that you will be taking it as a college student, so some vocabulary not relevant to general public. Some topics, especially in grammar, were not explained well or did have enough examples. Workbook did not coincide with textbook, did not directly support vocabulary.

This book is perfect for self study. You can easily access the answer key online and it is very helpful. The questions are often geared towards college students, but regardless, it is good practice for writing, reading, speaking, and listening. Well worth the money spent.

I can't believe this was used for a beginning Korean class. The book is great but it should be for intermediate level Korean. Even as a Korean speaker I find this book challenging for a beginner's class.

Other than that, this book is straightforward and helpful. Lots of repetitive writing and eventually goes into sentences and answering questions.

Great book for learning Korean. The accompanying website is a little lacking (needs to be updated), but overall a great buy. I do have a teacher that goes thru the book and workbook with me, but I think it would work perfectly for self-learners as well.

My daughter is using this with the Integrated Korean book to teach herself Korean. She's loving these books so far.

I am using this book as part of a classroom curriculum so it is definitely a workbook I might not recommend unless you are being taught by an instructor. It is paired with the learning textbook in my class and we use both simultaneously. It's a good book.
Very helpful!!
