Learning to deal with difficult people is an art. It's a skill that takes time to learn but is so very helpful when mastered. We all have personalities that want their own way but life works differently. We have to stop wanting our own way and learn to blend with different views. Now this is not to say we don't stand up for our values and beliefs but that we learn to understand a "team spirit" base flow and not an "island unto yourself" approach. We also need to recognize an out of control person that needs to be brought under authority vs. one who is just a headstrong leader type. Again, it takes time and practice but it will pay out in the end. Would recommend. Thanks.

I bought this cassette very new, and I think that like other people, I too found the recording to be unacceptable.
The subject matter was quite interesting, and gave me an insight of what is going on in other people's mind when they behave in a certain way. Most importantly, it has made me realize that I may have been a pain in the neck to other people, without necessarily intending to be one. I know that people around me mostly tell me that I am a very reasonable person, but after reading the book, I am more conscious now whenever I spend negative energy after being frustrated with someone or something. I try to focus on getting results out of the frustration I am showing towards someone, instead of focussing merely on demonstrating my displeassure.
A good read, but poor recording.

I read this book standing up in the bookstore and finished it easily, so know it is very short and an easy read - understatements. The book is good and thought-provoking. I wanted to give it as a gift but decided it put too much focus on negativity, even though "the most" difficult person is hoping not to be negative at all! At least in my case, because I'm a good girl and very positive. The fact the book is small and short and concise and all the good things of this earth interferes with a messsage of caring in an understanding and tolerant way, that's all :-).

Although the content is interesting and well spoken, the recording of the cassette was defective: I found little pieces of plastic inside the cassette that interfered with the recording process, therefore the final result is a mess. I paid a lot of money for this very poor quality product. I will try to complain with the authors too.

i really love this book! i stayed up till the wee hours of the night, listening to the tape, and put the principles to the test the very next day.believe me, i saw and felt the positive benefits . thanks!!!

This was fun to listen to. I'm not sure if I'll actually be able to use the info for my specific situation, but at least it was entertaining to listen to. Most of the other CD's like this that I've been listening to lately have been pretty boring, but I liked this one a lot.
