OKAY, FIRST I will tell you what you want to hear -

IT DOES WORK.

However, I must warn you (at least from my personal experience with it), that how much you listen to it will affect how much sleep you will get.

When I used it, I decided to try it out for only ten minutes. That night I slept for a full five hours and woke up around one or two feeling a little bit droopy in the eyes still. I had to drink a cold glass of water to lift the heaviness from my eyes, because I wanted to work on something, like I always do, when I get up really early.

Then, the second night, when I woke up around two, I decided to play it again for ten minutes, because I couldn't go back to sleep. The music did indeed put me to sleep, but it KEPT me feeling sleepy for the next five to six hours later! So if your job requires that you get up early, like around six or seven, I highly don't recommend that you listen to this cd after one a.m. I now only play it for only five minutes, because that allows me to go asleep but still wake up feeling good.

I honestly, can not imagine how tired and sleepy I would still feel right now if I had listened to this cd for a full 60 minutes!!

I think that I would sleep for three days straight!!!!!!!

I'm so disappointed that this did not resonate with me! I found the music very irritating instead of soothing! However I am very happy that this has worked so well for others!

I have found this CD to be more than I thought it would be. I find the sounds soothing.

Howell's "Guided..." relaxation, etc tapes/CDs are better. I haven't used it much but it could be worse. There's no tinkling piano doing riffs as far as I recall.

I am a chronic insomniac and this is the only thing I've found that can sooth my brain and give me the best chance of getting some sleep. I've been listening to this off and on since it first came out, so for many years. This one is much better than her "Deep Sleep," in fact that one does nothing for me. I know you're supposed to listen with headphones to get the full effect, but I keep it playing out loud on replay through my phone all night long. Incredibly soothing and relaxing.
My husband and I play this CD at bedtime. Usually we read for a short while, and within 15 to 20 minutes, I can't keep my eyes open. We leave it on for the full 60 minutes and let it turn itself off. The music that masks the delta waves is like a New Age music intro that never really turns into an actual tune. We both find it pleasant. My husband suffered from insomnia for many years, and he recently weaned himself off Ambien and other sleep aids. This has been wonderfully helpful for him, and it has even helped our 6-year-old when he complains that he can't fall asleep. I do not experience any of the morning grogginess that another reviewer reported. We've recommended it to several friends.
