I have this book as it was required course material. I have read it first in an introductory course in SolidWorks and again a few years later to refresh myself. It also gives unnecessarily long explanations for simple operations especially as the book progresses.

I personally took Dr. Howard's (the author) class last semester, and found this book extremely helpful as an introduction to using SolidWorks. The index in the back is also highly helpful, as you can look up "fillet" and it will direct you to the exact pages where the book instructs you on how to round a fillet on your solid model. Very many pictorials. It's a must for learning SolidWorks 2014!

I love this product in the sense that it came in a timely manner and is a very helpful book. I hate this product in the sense that my professor utilizes it to make my life a living hell.
